Black Bear Gardens
Welcome to Black Bear Gardens.

Here, we offer a unique outdoor program for children aged 0-6 and their caregivers, set on our private 4-acre property near Issaquah, WA. Our aim is to create a space where both children and adults can connect deeply with nature and each other, following the natural flow of the year.

For your child, our program provides a nurturing environment for child-led discovery and imaginative play among woodlands, fields, and gardens. We integrate principles that foster natural curiosity and social development, embracing a Waldorf-inspired rhythm that brings a gentle predictability to each session. Through hands-on gardening and nature care, children engage with the rhythm of the seasons, learning about growth, harvest, and new beginnings.

For you, the caregiver, it's an opportunity to find genuine social connection and support. Guided by an experienced MSW and therapist, our sessions offer a chance to step away from daily pressures and shed the mental load of modern life. We observe children's organic learning and engage in discussions on mental well-being and responsive parent-child interaction strategies, specialized to the unique needs and experiences of your group. It's a space to simply be with your child and connect with other families, fostering a sense of community and shared experience in the calming embrace of nature.
